Atomic Energy : Its uses & Abuses

Introduction:

        Human world has been changing since the very beginning. The greatest change has been brought about by the discovery of atom. It has revolutionized the whole thinking of man. A very great source of energy has been discovered. It is full of hope as well as danger. When we think of the atom we think of destruction. But it is so only in the case of war. Atomic energy can be used for the service of mankind.

The bright side:- Atomic energy can change earth into heaven. Its advantages are many. It can be used for creative and peaceful purposes. The results will be good in every field. The earth itself will be better and free. Man living in hardships will be healthier and happier.

Better world:- Atomic energy can change tge faces of earth,. Deserts of dust and poles covered with ice be turned into smiling lands bright with colourful vegetation. The climate can be made more wholesome and comfortable. There can be artificial rain. The whole scenery would be beautiful.

 Healthier men :- Atomic energy cam cure painful diseases which were considered incurable. It can make food better and more wholesome. Atomic energy can preserve food for a longer time and food can be produced in laboratories without any dependence on crops and soils. The curse of poverty can be eliminated. This will make mankind healtheir, happier and more beautiful. Life will be longer.

Freedom from hard work :- Atomic energy can do all the hard and boring work for man. And it can do it much more quickly and efficiently. National and international transport can become quicker and cheater. There would he no long and tedious journeys. Mills and factories will do more work. Even everyday common work will be done by machines. Man will be freed from hard physical labour.

Conclusion:- Atomic energy, on the whole, has much greater advantages than fear. But there is one condition: Man should use it wisely like a man and not foolish like a demon. It is certain that if man does not destroy himself with it, atomic energy will make human life most happy and comfortable.
