Farmer's nature and labor

India is a country of villages. The heart of India resides in the villages only. Farmers, the embodiment of labor and service, reside in the villages, who are not only the food givers of the townspeople but also the custodians of the universe. Indian farmer is synonymous with qualities like 'hard work', simple heart, sacrifice and ascetic life, simplicity. He remains absorbed in his spiritual practice like an ascetic even in the bitter winter, scorching sun, heavy rain, and cold winter. He tolerates every adversity quietly, he has a habit of living in deprivation, he fills his stomach by eating dry and dry, he covers his body by wearing thick clothes. He never complains to anyone about this harsh life, nor does he demand the material of opulence and enjoyment for himself. There is only one purpose of his life - to generate an army from the soil and feed others like Annapurna.

Once Narada asked Lord Vishnu, "O Lord! Who is your supreme devotee?" Vishnu replied, "My supreme devotee is a farmer."Narada decided to have darshan of this supreme devotee. Vishnu ji told him that while going to see that supreme devotee, you have to take a vessel full of oil with you.But keep in mind that not even a drop of oil should fall on the earth from that vessel. Narada did the same.He reached the farmer, he saw the daily routine of the farmer. The farmer uttered the word 'Ram-Ram' in the morning while going to work on the field and once after coming from there.Narada was very surprised at the words of Lord Vishnu, because the farmer did not even worship. Well, he returned to Vishnu with his vessel full of oil and, giving the vessel of oil in his hand, said, "Lord! As per your order, I did not let a single drop fall down from this vessel. I also had darshan of your great devotee farmer, but he took your name only twice. Many of your devotees remember day and night, then how did this farmer become your ultimate devotee? Vishnu said, "Vats! How many times did you take my name on the way? "Not even once," said Narada, "my attention was focused on the vessel of oil." Vishnu explained, "You probably haven't seen the life of the farmer. How hard he works day and night. Even after having such a busy routine, he remembered my name twice, that's why he is most dear to me."

What more can be said of the greatness of the Indian farmer than this. In Indian Farmer we see Vishnu. Vishnu also maintains the world and also the farmer. There is no desire for happiness, nor desire for opulence. Like a karma yogi, he is engaged in the fulfillment of his duty.

Because of Backwardness

After independence, the map of our cities has changed, but the wave of modernity has not yet arrived in most of the villages of India. The farmers of these villages were torn apart earlier as well and are still in tears today. The splendor of the cities does not attract him, agriculture is his everything.

Indian farmer is very simple hearted, he himself is also responsible to some extent for his plight. Even today in the world century, he is fatalistic, surrounded by superstitions and holding the traditional viewpoint. He does not recognize the importance of family planning, spends more than his capacity on many social and religious festivals, remains burdened with debt on life, litigation does not leave him behind due to getting involved in many types of disputes. Due to all these reasons the Indian farmer has not been able to get rid of the deprivations of life.

Government effort

It is a matter of joy that for the last few years, the Government of India and the State Governments have taken many steps to raise the standard of living of the farmer. Education has been spread in the villages. The use of new farming equipment, seeds and fertilizers is being promoted in the villages.New techniques of farming are being taught, farmers are being freed from the clutches of moneylenders by getting loans at low interest rates through cooperatives and banks in villages, the government is buying farmers' crops at reasonable prices, farming Many measures have also been taken to increase the yield, due to which the condition of the farmers has started improving.

Yet much remains to be done, as the benefits of government facilities have reached only the big farmers. The government is expected to make serious efforts to improve the standard of living of small and poor farmers, because India's prosperity lies in the prosperity of the farmer.
